I just realized that the blog post I wrote yesterday and posted is not showing up on blog rolls. I have been gone for two weeks and wonder what is going on. I will have to check into glitches with blogger and see if others have had this problem.
I'm back from break and trying to catch up on reading all the blogs I missed. So, blogging friends, if you see this post, please let me know. I am so confused on why the post I wrote last night and posted shows up on my dashboard but does not appear on the blog roll of others. Feedback would be appreciated.
A retired English teacher, I reflect on the many facets of my life: retirement, reading, writing, gardening, faith, parenting adult children, grandchildren, loss, grief, healing from grief, surviving the loss of a loved one by suicide, hair loss, alopecia, aging, and living life at the foot of the Rocky mountains.
I didn't get this one on my reader either, Sally... I'm not sure what is wrong... I have not had this problem.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
it showed up in my sidebar of blogs, its weird when blogger starts mucking up!
ReplyDeletelove that pic in your header
Did you publish this post sometime before by mistake and then deleted it and posted it again yesterday? In that case it does not show on the blog roll, it happened to me once.
ReplyDeleteI too am facing a problem, suddenly some of my wordpress and typepad readers are unable to comment!
Have a wonderful day:)
Blogger won't let me post a response to your post of yesterday, so I'll post it here.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you had a re-invigorating, emotionally, physically trip to my neck of the woods. Apparently you left this area in the nick of time, because we've had rain, rain, and then some more rain for the past several days. Today's forecast claims we're in for nothing but sunshine for at least the next week, though.
To everything there is a season....that is so true, isn't it? I'm so happy to hear you say you've turned a corner in dealing with your loss of Julie. I can't imagine the extent, the depth of this loss, but I suspect Julie would want you to find joy in life each day.
I never check the reader and just use the blog list. I understand others have had your problem.
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that I can't comment on some blogs that have the comment section embedded below post. Think blogger is having growing pains.
Sorry I can't help much as Blogger glitches continue to also frustrate me. Your post did show up for me though. The trip to New England and its effects sounded just great. My wife and I took a similar trip under similar emotional circumstances to New England in the fall some years ago. It worked for us too. :)
ReplyDeleteGot it! Welcome back. I love your header photo- amazing. Your left side bar needs to be slightly wider so individual letters aren't separated from their words.
ReplyDeleteThis one came up in Reader, Sally. I knew you were back from the comment you left, but I didn't know you published a post. I'll go read it now.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, and I'm glad you had a trip that renewed your outlook and reinvigorated your life. (I did not know about your daughter and am so very very sorry.)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I got your initial post ... until you apparently reposted it on Wednesday. Now I have it.
I, too, have had my blogger problems, most recently with reports that some people can't post in my comment box. I don't understand it -- most people don't seem to have a problem; but a few people sometimes do.
Blogger is really an amazing system. But it can get touchy at times. Oh well, we all press on.
Somehow, blogger is still experimenting with newer versions or such. Hope your posting gets caught up with your actual posting.
ReplyDeleteSo glad for your sweet comments at my blog.
Received both posts and, as a recent reader, was unaware of your tragedy. I am so glad the trip helped heal and restore both of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a few hiccups with blogger.. can't seem to comment on some blogs and my posts don't always go to reader, and I have to repost them. Seems to be since I switched to the new interface....hmmmm
ReplyDeleteThis one showed up okay on my blog roll, Sally. I forgot to say in my comment on your other post that I love your new header photo!
ReplyDeleteSally, I'm not sure what the "Reader" means but the "Dashboard" for Blogger.com on Safari showed me that you'd posted twice.
ReplyDeleteHope all is working out about this.
Peace.
Hi Sally, This one showed up, but nothing prior for quite awhile.
ReplyDeleteI've had some issues, too. Frustrating!
Glad you're back among us!
Got it.
ReplyDeleteYep, it's here, and so is the one from the day before.
ReplyDeleteI see it on my sidebar just fine!
ReplyDeleteKathy M.
I find that sometimes I post and don't get it onto anyones' links so therefore on nobodies Reader, so now I do a quick scan. I get onto my son's blog and if my post is not showing up on his Followers links, then I republish and check again. This always seems a good way to check and it does seem to work second time round. Strange that.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for you kind words in the comment in my last post.
Yes I have to agree with you. Another unmentionable subject...... suicide.

Glad you have it all sorted out by now. And welcome back, by the way. Looking forward to more posts by you.
ReplyDeleteand blogger strikes again welcome back
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back and blogging, Sally! I've taken a little break, too, the past week or so. But just wanted you to know that I got this posting in my Reader as well.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know I see it! I've been rather out of blog visiting because our time is so consumed with seeing friends and being with granddaughter, daughter and son-in-law here in Illinois. Now they're ALL sick and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I can hold out until I return to Hawaii. What are the chances? sigh...
